The Hong Kong Lottery, or Mark Six, is a 6-out-of-49 lottery game with seven prize levels. The jackpot prize is the highest, and the odds of winning are one in 13,983,816. It is the most popular lottery in Hong Kong and can be played from anywhere in the world.

Smuggling of Mark Six Tickets

The smuggling of Mark Six tickets is a growing problem in Hong Kong. In fact, Hong Kong Customs recently intercepted a shipment of lottery tickets that was traveling across inland rivers from China.

According to HK01, officials found around 16K lottery tickets on board the ship and immediately confiscated them. They said the tickets were likely on their way to China, where the top prize was significantly higher than in Hong Kong.

The two men running the boat, believed to be from mainland China, were detained and have been questioned by officials. They are facing a range of charges, including possession of property without a licence and dealing with property known or reasonably believed to represent proceeds of an indictable offence.
